Patty Stotzheim graduated cum laude from Hamline University School of Law and is a licensed attorney in the State of Minnesota. Her legal education included training in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Paris, Budapest, and Jerusalem. She is also a mediator, Rule 114 Qualified Neutral and Parenting Time Expeditor. Patty helps her clients with estate planning, probate, including high conflict cases.
Before establishing Stotzheim Law Office & Mediation, LLC, Patty was a partner in The Law Firm of Roberts & Stotzheim, PLLC where she practiced in her current areas of law. Patty also previously served as the law clerk to the Honorable Mary Yunker of Sherburne County District Court. As Judge Yunker’s law clerk, Patty became very skilled at breaking down complicated family matters and navigating contested probate hearings. Even though she has been in the courtroom for hundreds of hearings, she also knows that every matter has unique circumstances. Her clients appreciate her compassion and understanding of their individual situations.
Patty also has experience as a law clerk for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office in the White Collar Crime Division where she assisted several outstanding attorneys, including Pete Connors, Emery Adoradio, and Lori Gildea, now Chief Justice Gildea.
Prior to her legal career, Patty achieved noteworthy success as the head women’s gymnastics coach at Hamline University and later, Southeast Missouri State University. She also owned and was the head coach for Spirit Gymnastics, Inc., a private gymnastics club in St. Paul. She has been invested in the St. Paul community since 1994 and continues her support through various avenues. She volunteers as a mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center, mediating disputes at Ramsey County Housing and Conciliation Courts. She sits on various committees and frequently volunteers for Hamline University Athletics. It is no coincidence that Stotzheim Law Office & Mediation, LLC is located in St. Paul. Serving the community is an important objective for Patty.
